Freebie Finds: Bittersweet Kit

Before the month ends, I would like to post another entry to my FREEBIE FINDS! Of course, this one is still from my favorite digital scrap designer Peachy Keen. Bittersweet Kit includes 8 full papers, 8 mini heart shape papers, 58 design elements and 6 wordart. What I loved about this kit are the papers, they mimic the look of a porcelain tile because of the color and texture.

Stressful Two Weeks

My last two weeks was very much stressful. If I was on a diet, I wouldn’t need to take an appetite suppresant because my credit card and marital problems were enough for me to lose my cravings to eat. I have been into a lot of circumstances that made me feel so down and hopeless.

Anyway, when the weekend was about to come, I received a hopeful call from one of the credit card companies that I am trying to have a payment assistance service applied to. They said that I might need a co-maker because I don’t have a job and they will close the account. They also said that they will lock-in my repayment scheme for five years! Though five years means bigger interest for them but I feel blessed already having been allowed to be given assistance to pay my debts.

As for my marital problems, I guess it needs more than five years to settle!

The Netbook Episode

Because of our financial difficulties, my husband and I decided to sell my laptop. We needed the money to cope up with our family needs. This of course was a great help for us but a sad lose for my children. My laptop was their only way to play their favorite PC games as they are not always allowed to use my PC.

Just the other day, my son and I went on and paid some bills. On the way, we dropped by a computer store to check on some external hard drives. Then my son saw a lot of netbooks on display. He was very ecstatic! He wanted me to buy him one. Then I explained to him that aside from having no money, netbooks are good for bloggers like me but not for gamers like him. Then he kept on poking me so that I would just look on the display. So, to appease him, I looked and checked all the display but still insisted it was not a good buy for him. Then as usual, I really thank God for having a son who could understand our financial standing and wouldn’t put up a tantrum if he doesn’t get his way.

Anyway, I also explained to him that mommy will buy another laptop someday but not now. Maybe when he is old enough, I can buy one for them to use. He just smiled!

Not That Sad

Just last month, I wrote a post about something to celebrate because this blog of mine gained a page relevance of three. Then just this morning I was shocked that there was another update that happened. I didn’t expect that there would be because an update usually occurs every three months. Then now, in less than a month, another update has occurred.

Of course for this blog, it’s quite sad because I got a drop down. From three, now I have a page relevance of two. But I am not that depress since God has been gracious enough to bless this blog even though my domain name is quite new. Besides, I received blessings in my other blogs too which is clearly fair enough for me. ^_^

How about you? Did you get an up boosting or down dropping?

Plan of Action

Just a few days ago, I posted about my financial agony with my credit card debts. I have done few researches and some good reads on how to get out of it. Well, as of now, I am in the stage where I am planning for my action.

One of these is to talk to them (credit card companies) and tell them my current situation, then asks them for payment assistance or credit repair that is. My friend told me, I should be armed and ready. That is ready with what I know, should know and need to do. So, I am doing that right now but still I need to know more. I am not that financially literate when it comes to credit repair churvah.

Anyway, I just remembered that one of my credit cards has insurance. It acts like a term life insurance that in case something happens to me, my family will not be liable for my debts. But still, it’s kind of worthless for me right now since I am so alive and healthy but no job at all.

By the way, any of you had problems with your credit cards? What can you share?? How did you solve it??

Credit Repair Needs

To be honest, I am in the deepest pit of my financial agony right now. One of my credit card companies is really acting up. They are not providing any helpful assistance on helping me pay-off my outstanding balance. If I try to avail of a credit repair, they would ask me for many requirements that surely I couldn’t provide because I have no work. They are making it harder for me to get out of debt that is not my principal debt but of accumulated interests!!

The monthly minimum due can be coped-up but when I pay, the interest will just eat up and boost my balance. So, it is really useless right? And when you talk about having them to fix credit dues, they will not make it easier. They will kill you as long as they can.

I really wish I can avail of repair credit services like those offered in the US. They make it easier for people to get out of debt. Now, I am still searching for ways how to get out of this situation. :(

Need to Upgrade

Since I am using many photo editing programs and installed plenty of games in my PC, I am planning to upgrade my computer memory and buy an external hard drive. So, I am currently looking for a cheap computer memory and external hard drive. I am planning to buy offline but if buying online proves to be more affordable and convenient, I might get one online. I already saw www.memorysuppliers.com. I am thinking of buying one from them.

Daily Travels

One of the things that worry me every day is my husband travelling to work. He needs to wake up early and travel for 1 hour straight to work from Monday to Friday and another going home. Though they have travel insurance, I still believe that his safety is still my primary concern. Just like I always said to him, I rather live a financially unstable life as long as he is near than having money in exchange for his absence to another country.

Anyway, I just hope and pray that God will protect him as always. I love him dearly!

Clay Molding Hobby

Speaking about hobbies, I got hooked with digital scrapping since last year. Well, it started as a fascination with the freebies given by digital artists then later I started combining them all to make special memories.

Another hobby that I am fascinated is making figurines from clay molds. Well, I haven’t tried making one yet but I got fascinated by those created even by kids. At www.amaco.com, they have fimo clay projects that you can buy. It is a sort of do-it-yourself kit. Aside from that, they have many other clay products sold such as high fire glazes and more.

So, if you want to learn more about clay molding or wanting to buy clay products, I guess www.amaco.com is the best place to be. They also have lesson plans that you can check-out and so as a craft library. It is also a good place to get ideas to have craft ideas for kids!
