Rain Barrels

One of the latest discoveries that I found simple but amazing are rain barrels. From the word itself, you can already perceive its purpose.

Rain barrels are designed to collect rain water. Rain is stored efficiently so that once you decided to use it for outdoor application in your home, it would be easy. These are also solution in helping save water and even water bills. Aside from that, it is highly recommended to use in watering plants because its natural water.

House Plans

My husband and I are planning to move again. To be honest, it’s making me feel so tired already and wanting our own house. I want to be permanently placed in one place and develop the memories of my family at that place.
Sometimes I end up browsing for home plans for my ideal house. I always dream of having a four bedroom house with an extra space for a family slash entertainment room. I always wanted a house that will help strength our bond as a family.
By the way, I am amazed with the website www.houseplansandmore.com because they have a wide array of house plans. They have different designs that are suited for your budget, lot space available and taste. Their contemporary house plans are also a hit to all those who wants a comfortable place to live in with a simpler designs.
I myself have my own favorites just by looking at the floor plan. I could imagine how the house would look like if you get inside. Well, I guess this is the product of being a graduate of civil engineering. ^_^
Anyway, I guess I have to continue dreaming as of the moment. My husband and I still have two years to prepare for it. As of now, we shall move and rent as often as the circumstances call for it. So patience is a must!

Choosing the Perfect Toy

Christmas is just around the corner and I haven’t done any gift buying for my children yet. I don’t have the budget as of the moment and I haven’t found the perfect toys for them. We all know that we should be careful in buying toys since a few years back we have faced with lead poisoning. It was due to some toys having lead content. So I need the perfect toy for each child. It involves safety and budget. Since we have a new addition to the house, I am also contemplating of buying baby toys.

Anyway, how do we choose the perfect toy? Here are few tips to ponder:
1. Consider the child’s interest.
2. Consider your budget.
3. Consider its safeness.
4. Consider the age to which it’s made for.

If you have considered all factors, you might have the perfect toy in front of you. ^_^

Live Chat with Hubby

When my children and I were in my hometown and their father was left here in Bacolod, the only means of communication was through live chat. We communicated using Yahoo Messenger. Though communication is convenient for us using live chat, I still preferred the old school way of doing things. That is why I never wanted for my husband to work abroad. I am not at ease with the fact that we live separately.

How about you? Are you at ease with talking online only?

On Books

I have been browsing for Amazon books lately. I have been thinking maybe I should buy myself at least one this Christmas. As you know, I really love books, not novels but self-help, business, parenting, marriage and Christianity related kind. Though there are many e-books already, I still prefer hardcopies. I still believe that nothing beats the feel of reading hardcopies than softcopies.

So, what would be a good book this year?

Another Move?

Guess what?! We are thinking of moving again. Why? Because we find the environment we live in not safe for the whole family. Aside from that, the house is falling apart and the landlord is not doing anything about it. Instead of looking for conflict, it’s better to look for a better place to live in an environment that is safe for everyone. Not as beautiful as the houses at Outer Banks beach rentals but enough to keep the children safe.

Anyway, I think if we keep on moving like this, we will be masters of home moving. LOL!!

Want to Watch Pacquiao vs Cotto Fight

A few days from now will be the much awaited fight between Manny Pacquiao vs Miguel Cotto. This will happen on November 14, 2009 (Pacific Standard Time) from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas Nevada. Everyone is excited who’s going to win the fight.

I am so excited to watch the fight too but we don’t have a clear source here. I was planning to get a direct TV that is why I looked for satellite television providers. I found one here but not that good compared to the satellite tv providers in the US. They only offer 20 HD channels at a very expensive rate, not to mention the installation fee and all. If I add more channels that means I need more money for all.

Unlike the satellite tv provider from the US, www.directsattv.com, they offer 95 HD channels for only $9.99. I wish that the local company here will have the same kind of offer. I think they are being sharks because they don’t have any competition yet.

Anyway, I think I will be watching the fight at a local channels and persevere with all those commercial breaks. :(
