My New Year’s Resolution

You all know that I am hoping for a better year 2010. After all what our country suffered and my family, I am determined to have a better year for everyone. That is why I am creating few New Year’s Resolution to guide me through my goals of having a better year.

Because of the downfall of the global economy, I have told myself that I should be prepared financially. So, I am planning to save regularly this coming New Year. Aside from putting money inside the bank, I am planning to learn ways on how to save money in everything. Luckily, I was able to read an article about 30 Ways to Save Money. From this, I will try to form a habit of saving in all things.

Another thing that I want to develop next year is the habit of finding coupon codes and using them. I guess it’s not bad if you pay your groceries with money and paper right? Some of my friends told me that using coupons really help them save a lot from their groceries. It helped them big time.

And if we are to get a car this year, I need to canvass the best and lesser priced car insurance. It will lessen the expenses in registering and maintenance of a vehicle.

For short, my New Year’s Resolution is to save money in 2010. So that when financial emergency strikes, our family will survive with less to no suffering at all!

Hoping for a Better Year 2010

2009 is about to end bringing with it the memories of a bad economy and unforgettable tragedy (two typhoons lambasted the Philippines). To some extent, I can partially call it a bad year for everyone. Why partial? Simple, because if it was totally a bad year, we wouldn’t have survive it but we all did. Thank God!

Anyway, I am hoping for a brighter year ahead. I am planning to check out some franchise opportunities option or a more massive online work. I am not sure but I hope for a better year financially for 2010.

Continues Contribution

It will be two years since I resigned from work this coming February 2010. Since then, I have not contributed again to any of my government required contributions such as SSS and PhilHealth. If I get sick, I must rely on my husband’s since I am his beneficiary.

Anyway, I wanted to have a low cost health insurance of my own or continue contributing my social security account. At least I have something to look forward for my children to have in case of an emergency.

I think it would be a good start to have these all settled next year…2010!

All Inclusive Caribbean Vacation

If you notice about my previous blog posts, I have wanted to avail of an all inclusive vacation to the Caribbean. I wanted for the whole family to experience the sandy white beaches and crystal clear pools. It is always my desire to travel and visit the Caribbean coasts.

I saw an all inclusive Caribbean vacation package offered at www.breezes.com. They offer an all inclusive vacation package for travelers who want to visit any of the Caribbean destinations. I find the offer quite appealing especially for a newbie travelers like us.

Anyway, as much as I wanted to visit the Caribbean, I can’t do so as of the moment. I still have a baby who has just turned three months the other day and besides our savings for a family vacation has not yet started. Maybe we can start saving next year and probably get an all inclusive Caribbean vacation package the next.

Bella Grace Third Digital Scrap

I wish I can claim that this digital scrapping layout was done by me. Unfortunately, I am not a PRO yet when it comes to digital scrapping. I made this one with www.widdlytinks.com. It’s easy to do actually, just upload, adjust and your finish!

Anyway, I used this layout so that I could wish a Merry Christmas Day to all my readers and visitors! Have a wonderful holiday season!

Preventive Team of Gadgets

Having asthmatic children means you need to make your house as dirt free as possible. You don’t want to be in a situation where your children are having a simultaneous asthma attacks! It’s hard for you but it’s harder for them especially when you see their tired teary eyes when an attack is going on.

So, I bought a vacuum cleaner and an air conditioning unit to prevent my children from having asthma attacks. Now, I am planning additional steam cleaners to our preventive team of gadgets so that it can help me with the dusts in clothes and stuffed toys.

Well, I am not getting it this Christmas but maybe next year…hopefully! What do you think? Would Santa hear me?

Price Increase During the Holidays

Christmas is already here and prices of goods are soaring high. Actually, I already have seen that prices for foods especially related to the Noche Buena feast and other dry goods have gone high in our place. I felt it when I did my Christmas grocery last Tuesday.

Anyway, I don’t know if prices of our goods have increased. All I know that when it comes to food and gift items, its prices increase during the holiday season. But how about construction materials, car parts such as Hyundai accessories, and more, do they increase during Christmas season? I have no way of telling since I don’t buy any other items except for Christmas Dinner. So far, it’s the only thing I could afford.

Oh well, do you have an idea? Share your observations.

Day Dreaming for a Car!

Just the other day, I went to another “day dreaming” trip while browsing online. I wanted to check out the latest 2010 model cars as part of my “day dreaming” and wishing to have a car of our own. So as I checked on the latest 2010 model transportation vehicles, I found the following cool cars!

Chevrolet makes fascinating cars, so I decided to check them out first. Here are some Chevrolet Malibu photos I found. They look beautiful, right?

Another that I found interesting is this Chevy Silverado Hybrid. I think this will do nicely in long travels even in not so good roads. Good also for personal and business purposes.

Another beautiful car that I saw is the 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan. I think this would fit nicely as a mommy car. It has great space for children and good for car pooling too!

Oh well, I saw a lot of great cars and it made me dream of having at least one for the family. I believe that having our own vehicle can really help especially with growing kids and if you want to pursue doing business too. Anyway, I wish to own one someday, maybe not next year but soon!

The Ideal Bathroom Makes an Ideal House

Since we don’t have a home of our own, we always find ourselves living in rented houses. Often times we always move from one place to another. Just this year, we lived in three different places. That means we moved twice this year.

Anyway, what is the reason why we kept on moving? Well, the number one reason is the rented house’s hygiene. That means if the house we rented has problems that can cause sickness, then we are out of there.

So, what do we look in a rented house? Number one is the bathroom! We make sure the bathroom is tiled. The lighter tiles used the better but not white. The color makes it neat and easy to clean. We also make sure the toilet has a working flusher. We don’t want to have flushing problems. Another thing is the plumbing. Leaks are bad, not only to our pockets but also to our health. And if possible, we prefer bathrooms with shower enclosures. This will makes the other part of the bathroom dry and neat. A bathtub would also be good but not necessarily important.

If the bathroom is OK for us, the rest of the house can be considered. Unfortunately, you can’t discover all the problems the bathroom or the house may have in one visit. Only after living in it for a few months will give you the idea of what problems it may have. And of course, that is when we decide to move out again if the landlord does not fix the problem.

Freshwater Pearl Jewelry

Have you ever seen freshwater pearl jewelry? Well, I have when I took a vacation in Manila. There were people from Mindanao who brought with them freshwater pearls. They tour the Philippines to sell their items.

One that caught my eyes was pearl necklace like this one below. I was still in elementary when I saw that pearl. From then on, I fell in love with timeless pearls!
